Autumn in Noosa is the best time of year. Just kidding! Every season holds beautiful charms for our Noosa Pacific guests, with the next three months revealing beautiful sunsets, clear blue days on a calm river and the heat of the day tempered with a little more coolness in the air of an evening.
For a spectacular setting for romance, make sure you’re positioned looking westward as the sun dips below the horizon over the next few months: Autumn is renowned for its spectacular sunsets! With everything bathed in golden light and the peaks of the hinterland and Mt Cooroy in the distance, this is a special time of the day. Our Waterfront Apartments are best situated for that afternoon glow, though it’s just as stunning over water on Noosa Pacific’s private jetty. Crack the wine and get the cheese platter ready, nature will put on a show!
Sunsets are great, but what can guests do with the other 11 hours of sunlight? With the winds easing and the sun still shiny and warm, Autumn is fabulous for kayaking the Noosa River. The holiday water traffic has long gone, and with kayak hire right here at Noosa Pacific, now is the time to get out on the river. Cruise past multi-million-dollar homes, set up a picnic on one of the sand bars, or just work up an appetite for lunch and dinner. You could even kayak the five kilometres up river to Noosa Marina for a bite to eat or a peruse of their famous Sunday craft markets.
For brunch at the Marina, the Noosa Pacific team can highly recommend Café VinCino, with handmade goodies and great coffee the standard. Noosa Amore Gelato is another option for those simply looking to get enough energy for the kayak back to Noosa Pacific, and with flavours like Cinnamon and Fig, Black Hawaii or Salted Caramel Gelato AND a well-stocked dessert cabinet, you’re sure to be firing on all cylinders back down the river! Liquid refreshment more your style? The Harbour Wine Bar stocks a fantastic range of beer, wine and cocktails to slake even the heartiest of thirsts. The Noosa Italian Restaurant is another hidden gem looking over the Marina if you paddle up around lunch time. Here, serving up traditional cuisine without the pretension, ‘just like Nonna makes it’, is the order of the day. This great little outfit is getting a makeover this March and reopening in April 2021, which gives the rest of our Autumn guests plenty of time to make a booking.
Those beautiful sunset hues colour everything in gold in Noosa in Autumn- come and check it out for yourself!
